Mvt. 3: Rest At High Camp (This is currently the FI Recording) is a moonlit serenade in the snowfall. This melancholy ballad contemplates the juxtaposition of an individual snowflake’s fragility with the unforgiving deadliness of a sudden heavy blizzard.

Mvt. 4: Second Climb And Avalanche (This is currently the FI Recording) begins with a bright and triumphant spirit—the battery percussion carries the momentum forward, until—in the blink of an eye—the avalanche strikes. Chromaticism with repetitive, syncopated rhythms and heavily accented passages depict the catastrophic avalanche.
